Gas Stop: Culture is an exhibition of photographs drawn from Gas Stop, published in 2016 by Steidl Verlag, a four-volume set of photographs taken between 1978 and 1981 in my travels to forty-seven states. It examines the culture, architecture and landscape of the American gas station.
